Shanghai is a city that never fails to dazzle, blending historic charm with a futuristic skyline that takes your breath away. But to truly experience the magic of this city, where you stay matters just as much as what you see. If you’re searching for the ultimate luxury hotel experience that combines sleek modern design with an unbeatable location, look no further than The Edition Shanghai.
A Dream Stay in the Heart of the City
If you’re looking for the best places to stay in Shanghai, look no further. We recently booked a five-night stay at The Edition, and honestly, I wish we could have stayed forever. From the impeccable design to the unbeatable location, it truly felt like one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever experienced.

Unbeatable Location Near The Bund
As far as a Shanghai luxury hotel goes, the location is unbeatable. The Edition is tucked right off The Bund, just steps away from the bustling Nanjing Road. Being able to walk to Shanghai’s most famous skyline in about five minutes made it incredibly easy to explore the city and return to the room throughout the day.

Sleek Design and Luxurious Comfort
The vibe here is curated and cool; the lobby feels more like a sophisticated lounge than a traditional hotel entrance. But the real reason to book a stay here is the room itself. The design is stunning—I genuinely wish my actual house looked like this. Our room featured a plush king bed, a spacious sitting area, and more than enough storage for all our luggage.

The Bathroom Sanctuary
Then there is the bathroom, which is worth the stay on its own. The deep soaking tub became my nightly ritual, providing the perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing.

World-Class Dining and Amenities
Breakfast at The Edition wasn’t just an afterthought. The buffet offered a huge variety of options, blending international favorites with local flavors, and everything I tried was genuinely delicious.

The Best View in Shanghai
One pro tip for your visit: even if you aren’t a guest at the hotel, you have to go up to the rooftop bar. It offers the absolute best Shanghai skyline views at night, hands down. Seeing the city lights from that vantage point is a must-do.

Between the perfect location and the high-end comfort, The Edition is the kind of place that makes it hard to check out. If you’re planning your next trip to China, definitely save this one as your go-to Shanghai home base!
